COVID-19 and your Summer 2020 Stay

Your health, safety and happiness is important to us and our team is committed to keeping you safe.

All members of our team have undertaken training on ‘An Introduction to Infection Prevention and Control’ and ‘Prevent COVID-19’ to ensure we can meet  the needs of our guests and reassure you that you can still have a relaxing and peaceful holiday.

We have implemented many new practices and changed the way we operate in some of our key areas. You will see this reflected in

Self-Catering:

  • All linen is washed with an added detergent ‘Dettol Antibacterial Laundry Cleanser’ –  this kills 99.9% of bacteria, so that you can be confident that your laundry is hygienically clean every time. Our washing procedures meet industry standards and above.
  • Housekeeping has now been cancelled to ensure that contact between guests and guests/staff is limited. You can relax knowing that the only people to enter your cosy lodge each day, is you and your family.
  • Our change-over cleaning is, as always, very thorough. Even soft furnishings will be sprayed with an anti-bacterial surface cleanser.
  • We have a dedicated office mobile number so you can text any questions or queries to us where you’d usually pop up to reception for a chat. This phone will be monitored during the reception opening hours only.
  • Check-in and check-out will be less personal than we’d like but we must lessen contact. We will contact you on the day of your arrival to explain the arrival procedure. When checking out at/before the departure time of 10am, you can send a text or email to us to let us know you’ve departed.
  • Pre-arrival information including snippets of information regularly asked for by guests will be emailed to guests – these are things such as the link for the tide times to walk to St. Michael’s Mount and a local taxi number.
  • Our pool is currently closed and will be until we receive government guidance that we can safely implement
  • Ultimately, we ask all our guests to be aware of others – especially with the 2m distancing rule currently in place.

Camping/touring:

  • We have streamlined the amount of pitches we’re selling to allow a 2m gap in-between in anticipation of guidelines that may be introduced (if this is needed then pitches will revert to normal spacing) – this means we have very limited availability so all bookings are on a first-come-first-served basis with a 25% deposit to secure your pitch, as normal. This means that we may not have pitch numbers this year and may use letters instead.
  • We’re changing the access to the shared toilet/shower facilities so they are no longer shared between specific genders but ask families to go to the showers/toilets together as much as possible to reduce others’ waiting times.
  • We’re creating a screened queuing area down our corridor which will be one way and screened with perspex to separate an in & out direction of customers. Unfortunately, this means we will temporarily lose our hot drinks machine, freezer, leaflet stand and book exchange from the corridor to make space.
  • We will be asking the guests to spray and wipe down the surfaces when they first get in to the shared facilities and most importantly when they leave
  • We will be implementing even more cleaning that we currently do ourselves by closing the reception and toilet/shower facilities daily for a specific amount of time whilst we clean.
  • We’ll have portaloos dotted around the site so no one gets ‘caught short’ whilst waiting for the shared facilities which we ask guests to anti-bac spray before and after use
  • We’re making an outside cold water washing up areas so people don’t have to come inside to wash up.
  • We’re asking people to use their onboard facilities as much as possible.
When checking out at/before  the departure time of 11am, you can send a text or email to us to let us know you’ve departed.
