Walk from Penzance Harbour to Marazion
There is a main car park in Penzance, this will be the best location to park your car. Head away from the direction of the sea and pass the Tourist Information Centre and train station.
There is a wide tarmac path that leads in an easterly direction towards Marazion and continue east following the fence alongside the rail way line, until you get to a wooden footbridge where you can cross over the train track.
Around 30 mins in to your walk, the path become more rugged and you will see the Heliport of Penzance, providing flights to the Isles of Scilly.
You can now pick a route to either across the beach or above the beach, heading towards St Michael's Mount. Please note your choice will be affected by tide times.
You will reach the lifeguard station at Long Rock. The Station Inn can provide a well needed drink and break.
Explore Marazion's beach or walk across the causeway to St Michael's Mount, if the tide is in you can catch a boat across instead. The castle and the grounds of St Michael's Mount are lovely and you get a great view all around.
Please note dogs are not allowed in the grounds of the castle.
You can either retrace your steps back to Penzance or catch the local bus that runs.
